Fixing mouse scroll direction, key bindings, setting up Expos\u00c3\u00a9 spaces, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Installing Keynote<\/em>, Numbers<\/em>, and Pages<\/em> plus any software previously purchased from the App Store.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Installing replacement browsers: Chrome<\/em>, Firefox<\/em>, and Brave<\/em>, along with Xee<\/a> and iTerm2<\/a> and Skim<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Installing MacPorts<\/a>, then software starting with ImageMagick<\/em>. Imagemagick because it’s a good test of everything working properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$ sudo port install imagemagick +graphviz -x11<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then adding some of my favorite utilities<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$ sudo port install antiword bat colordiff exiftool jhead lame sox tree xz<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n

$ sudo port install ffmpeg -x11<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n

$ sudo port install nnn ranger<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then install software development languages: go<\/em>, rust<\/em>, and ruby<\/em>. Follow them with some CLI utilities written in those languages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

$ cargo install broot cw du-dust dutree exa fd hexyl \\
just lsd pastel ripgrep sd<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n

$ go get -u github.com\/gokcehan\/lf<\/code><\/p>\n\n\n\n
