I&#8217;m sure it was a fine speech, though, if you like such things. But I don&#8217;t watch conventions. (Actually, I don&#8217;t watch TV, period, unless you count <a href=\"http:\/\/messofpottage.com\/blog\/?m=200510\">old TV on DVD<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>But I was pleased to see the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8v_ioN5SyBM\">&#8220;response&#8221;<\/a> by John McCain. I agree about the justice of Obama receiving the nomination <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/I_Have_a_Dream\">today<\/a>. And it was a nice &#8212; though hardly unexpected &#8212; gesture by McCain.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I didn&#8217;t see it.
