I <a href=\"http:\/\/messofpottage.com\/blog\/?p=269\">bought a Dell<\/a> Inspiron 1525 last October (it didn&#8217;t actually arrive until November). I have no complaints with the hardware. Honestly, I only have two complaints with the software, because I wiped Vista and <a href=\"http:\/\/messofpottage.com\/blog\/?p=279\">installed Ubuntu Linux<\/a>. But those complaints were just too much to overcome:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I never found an <a href=\"http:\/\/messofpottage.com\/blog\/?p=315\">email client I could stand<\/a>\n<\/li>\n<li>There&#8217;s nothing like <a href=\"http:\/\/messofpottage.com\/blog\/?p=214\">Accordance<\/a>, which I need for too much of my work.<\/li>\n<li>I never found the time to get my Wacom tablet working.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To be sure, if I had a Mac, that would enable me to use other great software as well: <a href=\"http:\/\/messofpottage.com\/blog\/?p=416\">MacSpeech Dictate<\/a>, Address Book and iCal, and the <a href=\"http:\/\/messofpottage.com\/blog\/?p=124\">iLife and iWork apps<\/a>. And <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pixelmator.com\/\">Pixelmator<\/a>. (Which isn&#8217;t quite as capable as Gimp, but which works with a Wacom tablet.)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mixed emotions about this.
