They say that Pluto isn’t a planet any more, but I’m not convinced. (If you come from New Mexico, that would be treason.) As may be. Whatever it is, Pluto’s got moons. I knew about Charon, but now they’ve discovered another one.
New research suggests that Phobos, the larger of Mars’ two moons, isn’t a captured asteroid after all. It’s still not clear if it was ejected from Mars in some kind of impact, or if it’s all that’s left after an earlier moon broke apart and augured in.
